COVID-19 vaccination requirements for Nova Scotia Health contractors
Under Nova Scotia’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate announced on September 29, Nova Scotia Health employees, physicians, learners and volunteers must be fully vaccinated by November 30. The mandate also applies to those who provide services within Nova Scotia Health, including contractors, vendors and suppliers.
Only fully vaccinated workers, or those with an approved exception, are assigned to Nova Scotia Health facilities as of November 30. This means they must have received a second dose of an approved COVID-19 vaccine by November 16.
It is your responsibility to confirm the vaccination status of your employees and to notify Nova Scotia Health if you are assigning an employee with an approved exception. These workers may be required to follow additional infection prevention and control measures while on-site to ensure the health and safety of our patients and teams. Nova Scotia Health reserves the right to audit proof of vaccination on a case-by-case basis. Non-compliance with these requirements may impact your business relationship with Nova Scotia Health, up to and including the termination of any contract(s).
